Both a sea and land creature, this mythological animal hybrid vessel voyages between ages, cultures, and peoples. This creature has a body like a boat, similar to the ones of the first contact to the Americas, similar to the ones of fishermen relying on the harvest of the sea, similar to the ones used to relocate people across oceans. Darts of synthetic fibers wiggle and glimmer like fish as they are swallowed by the body of the animal, like people swallowed by others throughout history, like families swallowed by natural disasters. The ceramic vessel takes inspiration from pre-Columbian ceramics of the Taino.
